A West Mifflin man died Monday night after three men opened fire on him at the Crawford Village housing complex.
The Allegheny County medical examiner’s office said George A. Brosey, 54, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Allegheny County police Lt. Venerando Costa said the shooting happened outside Building 47.
Police said survelliance video shows Brosey walking up the steps of an acquaintance’s apartment just before 11:30 p.m. when he is approached by a man wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt, who walks from between the 47 and 48 buildings.

A McKeesport man is being held without bail in the Allegheny County Jail in connection with a stabbing at a Downtown apartment building.
Jeffrey S. Leisten, 52, is charged by county police with homicide, burglary and robbery in the death of Gordon Danielson Jr., 57, at McKeesport Downtown Housing, 523 Sinclair St.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for June 10 before Allegheny County Judge Kim Berkeley Clark.

A city woman died after falling or jumping from a ninth-story window at the Midtown Towers apartments, Allegheny County police said.
Aaliyah Johnson, 32, was pronounced dead at the scene in the 500 block of Sinclair Street at around 8:21 a.m. Tuesday, said county police Lt. Venerando Costa.
A passerby discovered Johnson’s body on the sidewalk and called McKeesport police.

A U.S. Department of Justice grant will provide more than $119,000 to McKeesport to help support police operations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The grant from the federal Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding program was announced this week by U.S. Attorney Scott W. Brady in Pittsburgh.
The public safety funds can be used for the most pressing needs of state and local law-enforcement agencies, including new hiring and overtime pay, training, personal protective equipment and supplies and medical needs of prisoners.

White Oak police Officer Gregory Smith has been commended for his help investigating a bank robbery in December.
At Monday’s council meeting, Mayor Ina Jean Marton read a letter from FBI Supervisory Special Agent Timothy Wolford commending Smith for providing “exceptional assistance” in assisting the FBI during the investigation of the Dec. 14, 2019 robbery of the PNC Bank in White Oak.
The investigation led to the indictment March 3 by a federal grand jury of Chezeq Morgan, 26, of Monroeville, on robbery charges.

A city man who appeared to have been stabbed multiple times was found dead Sunday evening inside his apartment at the former YMCA of McKeesport, Downtown.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the victim as Gordon Danielson Jr., 57.
Police were called to McKeesport Downtown Housing, 523 Sinclair St., just after 6 p.m. Sunday and discovered Danielson dead inside his apartment.
The Allegheny County police homicide unit is investigating. No further details were released.

Two teen-agers were reportedly in critical condition after a shooting near Yester Square on Tuesday night.
Allegheny County police said the male victims, both 15, were taken to an area hospital. Their names were not released.
The incident happened just after 9 p.m. in the 900 block of Craig Street. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported that a bronze Chevrolet Malibu with Wisconsin license plates fled the scene and that the vehicle was located in Whitaker on Wednesday afternoon.

Allegheny County police have released few details in connection with the shooting death of a woman whose body was found near Myer Park on Sunday morning.
On Thursday, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that the victim was Amber Rose Dolby, 38, also known as Amber Bailey.
In a prepared statement, county homicide detectives said McKeesport police and paramedics were dispatched to the corner of Rogena Street and Riverview Avenue just before 5:30 a.m. Sunday when a caller to 9-1-1 reported that a woman was lying in the intersection.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene of an apparent gunshot wound to the head, county police said.

An Elizabeth Twp. man was held overnight following a crash on Fifth Avenue in the city’s East End.
McKeesport police said charges are pending completion of their investigation.
Police said a gray Ford Fusion left the road in the 1700 block of East Fifth Avenue just after 8 p.m. April 20, narrowly missing a car in the oncoming lane, and crashed into the side of the AI Solutions building.
