The Patton Street Bridge in Wilmerding will close for repairs on Monday morning, the Allegheny County Department of Public Works announced.
The closure, expected to last until 4 p.m. Oct. 22, is required for repairs to the bridge deck, a spokesman said.
The bridge serves as a connection for people traveling between East McKeesport and Monroeville. Traffic will be detoured over Middle Avenue, Route 130, Route 48 (Mosside Boulevard) and Wall Avenue.
The work is being done by Pugliano Construction Co., Inc. of Plum, the county spokesman said.
