A McKeesport teenager was found dead Sunday afternoon after a shooting in the city's Third Ward.

The Allegheny County medical examiner's office said Ciquann Dudley Jr., 17, was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting in the 1300 block of Tube Works Alley.

Allegheny County police said he had been shot multiple times. His death has been ruled a homicide.

Friends and family said Dudley was a student at McKeesport Area High School. He is the second student killed in less than a month.

Morgan Dunston, 18, died May 24 of injuries sustained in a shooting on Pittsburgh's South Side.

In a prepared statement, Allegheny County police Lt. Kenneth Ruckel said a pedestrian flagged down a police car on Walnut Street on Sunday afternoon and reported that there was a body in Tube Works Alley.

Police found the victim, later identified as Dudley, with multiple gunshot wounds.

Tube Works Alley runs between Walnut and Locust streets and the 1300 block is fairly remote and overgrown, and is a dead-end street. Ruckel said police are not sure why Dudley was in the alley and do not have a motive for the shooting yet.

County homicide detectives are asking anyone with information about the incident to call (833) ALL-TIPS (255-8477). Callers may remain anonymous.

County police also may be reached via Twitter and Facebook.
