The McKeesport area celebrated the 243rd birthday of the United States of America with a lively concert and fireworks at Renziehausen Park.

James Warren of McKeesport and his daughter Alaina, age 2, show off their holiday spirit with the red, white and blue.

Sal Ventura, lead singer for Zoot Island Band, tosses a hula hoop off stage to the audience during their concert in Renziehausen Park.

Angel Turner, of McKeesport, and Rich Martino, 87, of Port Vue, dance and play air bass during the concert.

Adelynne Sexton, 9, of Castle Shannon, shows off her limber limbo skills.

Joel Batts, age 5, holds a sparkler at dusk, with his mother Carla Tomasino (right) and Benjamin Tomasino.

Fireworks shoot off from the park and explode over Gordon Street in McKeesport.
