A North Versailles Twp. man died Sunday night following a one-car crash on the Tri-Boro Expressway in Turtle Creek.

William "Boo" Guyaux, 55, died at a hospital about a half-hour after the wreck, the Allegheny County medical examiner's office said Monday.

The office said the accident happened just before 8 p.m. near the intersection of the Tri-Boro and Monroeville Avenue.

Allegheny County police Sgt. Venerando Costa said in a prepared statement that a Toyota pickup truck was traveling west on the Tri-Boro, away from Wilmerding, when it went out of control and struck a concrete barrier near the intersection.

The truck rolled over and both Guyaux and a 57-year-old man, whose name was not released, were thrown from the vehicle.

The Allegheny County police collision reconstruction unit was dispatched to the scene and conducted an investigation into the crash, Costa said, but it was still unclear Monday which person was driving the truck when it crashed.

Police are continuing the investigation and at the conclusion they will turn their findings over to the District Attorney’s Office, Costa said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Allegheny County police tip line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS (1-833-255-8477). Callers may remain anonymous.

County police also may be reached via Twitter and Facebook.
