Tube City Community Media Inc. is seeking freelance writers to help cover city council, news and feature stories in McKeesport, Duquesne, White Oak and the neighboring communities. High school and college students seeking work experience are encouraged to apply; we are willing to work with students who need credit toward class assignments. West Smithfield Street in Elizabeth Twp. and Lincoln Borough is being closed weekdays between 12 noon and 5 p.m. so that crews can build a wall.
Work will continue through Dec. 13, weather permitting, he said.
Motorists are being detoured via Route 48, Lovedale Road and Liberty Way.
