Drug Charge: A city man is being held in the Allegheny County Jail pending a preliminary hearing after McKeesport police executing a search warrant said they found suspected crack cocaine, heroin and drug paraphernalia inside his Jersey Street home.

James Sledge, 31, is charged by McKeesport police with two counts of possession with intent to deliver, two counts of possession of controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence.

According to a report, police and state parole agents executed a search warrant on the afternoon of Jan. 17 at Sledge's home. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 13 before Magisterial District Judge Eugene Riazzi.

Drug Charge: A McKeesport man faces charges after city police said they found him slumped over the wheel of his car in lower 10th Ward on Jan. 17.

Thomas F. Kornprobst, 63, is charged by McKeesport police with possession of controlled substances, driving under the influence of controlled substances, driving with a suspended license and a moving violation. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 2 before Magisterial District Judge Eugene Riazzi.

According to a report, a police officer on patrol observed Kornprobst's car stopped in the street near the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and John Street and stopped to investigate. When he was unable to wake Kornprobst, paramedics responded and revived Kornprobst with several doses of Naloxone, police said. He was taken to UPMC McKeesport hospital for treatment, police said.

Police said that 18 "stamp" bags of suspected heroin and fentanyl were recovered from the car.

Drug Charge: A city woman was arrested after an incident Jan. 15 in the Midtown Plaza parking garage.

Police said officers were called to investigate when four people were observed sleeping inside a running vehicle in the garage. A passenger in the vehicle, Michelle Simpson, 36, of McKeesport was charged by McKeesport police with possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 24 before Magisterial District Judge Eugene Riazzi.

DUI Charge: A woman from Pittsburgh's North Side was arrested after McKeesport police said she was stopped for speeding, then struck the officer who made the traffic stop.

Ashley Jackson, 18, is charged by McKeesport police with driving under the influence, aggravated assault, resisting arrest, obstruction of justice, recklessly endangering another person and driving a car without a license plate.

Police allege that Jackson was stopped in the 1600 block of East Fifth Avenue early on the morning of Jan. 19 after an officer observed her driving at a high rate of speed in a car that did not have a license plate. According to a police report, Jackson is accused of striking an officer in the face and had to be forcibly subdued.

Jackson did not consent to a blood alcohol test, police said. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 24 before Magisterial District Judge Eugene Riazzi.

Charged After Crash: A Wilmerding man faces charges after McKeesport police accused him of leaving the scene of an accident in the 600 block of Lysle Boulevard on Dec. 26.

Darrell Pettis, 37, is charged by McKeesport police with driving with a suspended license, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to stop and render aid and assistance and failure to notify police of an accident.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 24 before Magisterial District Judge Eugene Riazzi.

Charged After Crash: An Ohio man was charged after McKeesport police allege that he was involved in a crash on Lincoln Way and fled the scene.

Police said Joseph B. Lukacena, 40, of Wintersville, Ohio, was northbound on Lincoln Way at Shields Street on the afternoon of Jan. 3 when the truck he was driving collided with another vehicle. Lukacena is charged with driving without a license, leaving the scene of an accident and failing to stop and render aid and assistance.

DUI Charge: A Pitcairn man was charged by McKeesport police with driving under the influence after a traffic stop on the night of Jan. 14 on Hartman Street. Dorian Peebles, 28, also was charged with endangering the welfare of children, driving without insurance and driving without headlights.

On Jan. 27, Peebles waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Eugene Riazzi. Formal arraignment is scheduled for March 13 at Allegheny County Courthouse.

Drug, Vehicle Charges: A Clairton man was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, driving without valid registration and driving without proper lighting following a traffic stop Jan. 7 in the 800 block of Fifth Avenue. Calvin Boatwright, 35, faces a preliminary hearing Feb. 10 before Magisterial District Judge Eugene Riazzi.
