W. Newton Church Schedules Lasagna Dinner

The First Church of God in West Newton will host a lasagna dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. March 21 to raise money for a trip to Gamerco, N.M., a spokesman said.

The dinner will be at Gary’s Chuck Wagon Restaurant, 109 South Second St. Tickets are $12 and include lasagna, salad, dessert and a beverage. Meals may be taken out or eaten in.

The church also is planning a bus trip Sept. 28 and 29 to the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Ky., followed by a dinner cruise on the Ohio River and an overnight stay at the Holiday Inn in Covington, Ky.

The tour also will visit a replica of Noah’s Ark in Newport, Ky.

The trip includes transportation, one night of lodging, one dinner cruise, one breakfast at hotel, all sightseeing and entrance fees and bus driver tip.

Tickets cost $375 per person on single occupancy, $310 per person for double occupancy, $290 per person on triple occupancy and $280 per person for quad occupancy.
