The West Newton Public Library has finished its recent remodeling project and reopened, a spokesperson said.

Hours are 12 noon to 5 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays, 12 noon to 7 p.m. Wednesdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. The library is located at 124 North Water St.

Books and other items that are not available in West Newton can be requested from the other facilities in the Westmoreland Library Network, the spokesperson said. Deliveries are made twice per week. Library cards are free but users must present a photo ID to sign up.

The library is also running a book sale every day. A bag of used books may be purchased for $5. In addition, the library accepts gently used paperbacks, hard cover books, children’s books and DVDs to be sold in the book sale room. Items should be left inside the library during regular business hours, or on the side porch ramp after hours.

Used books also are for sale at Gary’s Chuck Wagon Restaurant on South Second Street.
