Charged After Fight: A McKeesport woman was charged following a fight on the evening of July 23 at a residence on Scott Street.
City police have charged Margie M. Daniels, 30, with burglary, endangering the welfare of children, simple assault and disorderly conduct. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 28 before Magisterial District Judge Eugene Riazzi.
Stolen Vehicle Recovered: A Glassport man was arrested July 18 after McKeesport police found him driving a vehicle that had been reported stolen earlier that day.
Jerison E. Pastories, 34, is charged by McKeesport police with receiving stolen property, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, driving with a suspended license and possession of a controlled substance. He is free on his own recognizance pending a preliminary hearing Aug. 24 before Magisterial District Judge Eugene Riazzi.
Police said the 2010 Chevrolet SUV was reported stolen from Glassport. McKeesport police observed a man identified as Pastories driving the same vehicle near the intersection of Pirl Street and Versailles Avenue.
Police said they found a syringe containing suspected heroin in Pastories’ pocket.
Arrested After Traffic Stop: Four people, including a juvenile, face charges following a traffic stop July 15 in Downtown.
McKeesport police said an officer on patrol observed an SUV with defective brake lights and illegally tinted windows at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Locust Street, and pulled the vehicle over.
According to a report, when the officer approached the vehicle, a front-seat passenger, later identified as Hasani Jones Jr., 18, of Penn Hills, began reaching for an item in the center console. Police ordered Jones out of the car.
Police recovered two 9-mm pistols from the floor of the vehicle, according to the report. One of the weapons had been reported stolen in West Mifflin and the other had been reported stolen in Westmoreland County, police said.
Police said the driver, identified as Reswan Morgan, 36, of Duquesne, was in possession of a plastic bag of suspected marijuana, while a juvenile passenger in the back seat was in possession of suspected crack cocaine.
Morgan is charged by McKeesport police with possession of a controlled substance, unauthorized possession of a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, receiving stolen property, driving with a suspended license and two motor-vehicle violations. He is being held in the Allegheny County Jail in lieu of $8,000 bond pending a preliminary hearing Aug. 24 before Senior Magisterial District Judge Thomas Brletic.
Jones is charged by McKeesport police with unauthorized possession of a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license and receiving stolen property. He is free on bond pending a preliminary hearing Aug. 24 before Magisterial District Judge Eugene Riazzi.
Another passenger, Sincere Smith, 19, of Wilkinsburg is charged by McKeesport police with carrying a firearm without a license and receiving stolen property. Smith faces a preliminary hearing Aug. 24 before Riazzi.
The juvenile was charged with possession of a firearm by a minor, receiving stolen property, carrying a firearm without a license and possession of a controlled substance, McKeesport police said.
Jailed Following Assault Charges: A city man was charged after McKeesport police said he assaulted his girlfriend following a dispute in Christy Park, then tried to smash her sister’s car.
Jesse R. Henderson III, 22, is being held in the Allegheny County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bond following the incident on the afternoon of July 15.
McKeesport police said Henderson and the victim drove to a local car wash to clean Henderson’s vehicle. While they were there, police said, the victim’s sister arrived and the victim began helping her clean her car.
Police allege that Henderson became angry and drove off, leaving the victim at the car wash. When the victim walked back to Henderson’s residence, police allege that he attempted to strangle her.
The victim and another woman fled to another residence, where police allege that Henderson caught up with them and attempted to slash the tires of a car belonging to the victim’s sister, before deliberately crashing his car into that other vehicle.
Henderson is charged by McKeesport police with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering other persons, strangulation and criminal mischief. He faces a preliminary hearing Aug. 24 before Magisterial District Judge Eugene Riazzi.
In a separate incident, Allegheny County police have charged Henderson with aggravated assault, assault by a prisoner, disarming a law enforcement officer and simple assault following an incident July 21 at the county jail.
A preliminary hearing on those charges is scheduled for Sept. 16 before Magisterial District Judge Kim Berkeley Clark.
Charged in Domestic Dispute: A White Oak man was charged with burglary following an alleged domestic dispute July 8 at a home in Christy Park.
The 19-year-old suspect is also charged by McKeesport police with simple assault, criminal mischief and harassment. He is free on $2,000 bond pending a preliminary hearing Aug. 24 before Magisterial District Judge Eugene Riazzi.
Tube City Almanac does not identify suspects in domestic disputes if doing so would identify a minor child.
McKeesport police allege that following an argument, the suspect assaulted his ex-girlfriend and then broke into her home, where he damaged her belongings, removed the couple’s 16-month-old child and fled the scene.
Charged Following Collision: A Duquesne man was arrested following an accident July 1 at the corner of Eden Park Boulevard and O’Neil Boulevard.
Arthur Pletchy, 68, is charged by McKeesport police with attempting to leave the scene of an accident, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and reckless driving. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 14 before Magisterial District Judge Eugene Riazzi.
McKeesport police allege that Pletchy was behind the wheel of an SUV involved in a head-on collision just before 1 p.m. When police arrived, according to a report, Pletchy was revving the engine of the vehicle and would not open the door.
According to a report, another driver said he was waiting to make a left turn from Eden Park Boulevard onto O’Neil Boulevard when Pletchy’s vehicle drove through oncoming traffic, narrowly avoiding several other cars.
Police allege that Pletchy’s vehicle then struck the other man’s car. Both the victim and Pletchy were transported by ambulance to UPMC McKeesport hospital for treatment of their injuries, police said.
