Burglary and Robbery: Two men are charged with robbery, burglary, kidnapping and other offenses after McKeesport police said they forced their way into a home in the 2700 block of Garbett Street and held the residents at gunpoint. Police said that just before 9 p.m. Jan. 15, emergency dispatchers were notified of a home invasion in progress. Officers surrounded the home and saw the suspected burglars fleeing back inside. Police entered the home and were able to hear the victims calling for help. Two suspects were arrested inside the house after a brief struggle, police said. Randy A. Jefferson, 30, and Kevin T. Crosby, 41, both of McKeesport are charged with criminal conspiracy, simple assault, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, kidnapping, unlawful restraint, burglary, robbery, resisting arrest and related offenses.

DUI Arrest: Joshua Pichura, 41, of North Versailles Twp. was charged by McKeesport police with driving under the influence and reckless driving after a traffic stop at 12:43 Jan. 16 on Long Run Road.

Theft: David A. Nye, 52, of Conneaut Lake, Crawford County, was charged Jan. 16 by McKeesport police with theft by unlawful taking after a resident of Hall Park accused him of failing to complete work for which he was paid. Police said Nye is a building contractor.

Rape: A Hazelwood man is in Allegheny County Jail after being charged by McKeesport police with rape, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and involuntary deviant sexual intercourse. Anthony B. Eaves, 30, was arrested by McKeesport police on Jan. 17 and is being held in lieu of $250,000 bond. A formal arraignment is scheduled for March 10 before Allegheny County Judge Philip Ignelzi.

Stolen Car: In a car that was reported stolen, two 15-year-olds led police on a chase Jan. 17 before being apprehended at Rainbow Village Shopping Center in White Oak. McKeesport police said officers on routine patrol spotted the stolen vehicle near the corner of 13th Avenue and Market Street at 10:35 a.m.. When they attempted to stop the car, the driver fled south on Walnut Street, then onto Long Run Road before police were able to stop them. The driver, from McKeesport, was charged by police with receiving stolen property, fleeing and eluding police, driving without a license and moving violations. A passenger, from Duquesne, was charged by police with resisting arrest, obstruction of justice and disorderly conduct.

Marijuana Arrest: Kenneth Benzo, 30, of Rankin was charged by McKeesport police with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident at 9 p.m. Jan. 19.

Prostitution Arrest: Rachele Brown, 27, of Versailles was charged by McKeesport police with prostitution and disorderly conduct after an incident at 8:54 p.m. Jan. 21 in the 700 block of Fifth Avenue.

DUI Arrest: Ashley M. Parker, 28, of North Versailles Twp. was charged by McKeesport police with driving under the influence, driving without a license and careless driving after a traffic stop at 10:42 p.m. Jan. 21 near the McKeesport-Duquesne Bridge.

Indecent Exposure: A Dravosburg man was arrested Jan. 25 by McKeesport police after being accused of exposing himself to a co-worker at a Dravosburg business. Police said Michael J. Chieffalo, 50, was charged with indecent assault, indecent exposure and harassment.

Drug Arrest: A McKeesport man was arrested at 9 p.m. Jan. 25 and charged with drug possession and possession with intent to deliver. Police said officers on patrol observed a car near the corner of Evans and Versailles avenues making a traffic violation. When they approached the vehicle, police said they noticed a strong odor of marijuana inside. After searching the vehicle, police said they found 54 "stamp" bags of suspected heroin, along with $600 cash. The driver, Danyiel B. Francis, 23, was charged by McKeesport police with possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Robbery: A Clairton man was arrested Feb. 7 in connection with a strong-arm robbery near the Port Authority transit terminal on Lysle Boulevard. Andrew J. Griffin, 28, is charged by McKeesport police with robbery, simple assault and reckless endangement. Police said that on the afternoon of Feb. 2, the elderly victim was approached by a man who assaulted her, stole her cell phone and fled the scene. Video surveillance footage was reviewed by police, who identified the suspect as Griffin.
