Tube City Community Media Inc. is seeking freelance writers to help cover city council, news and feature stories in McKeesport, Duquesne, White Oak and the neighboring communities. High school and college students seeking work experience are encouraged to apply; we are willing to work with students who need credit toward class assignments. The Greater Pittsburgh Soapbox Derby will be holding a re-organization meeting at 7 p.m. Nov. 30, a spokesperson said.
The meeting will be held in the social hall at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, across from McKeesport Senior High School, 1907 Eden Park Blvd.
Anyone interested in the soapbox derby is welcome to attend.
