Police Seek Leads in Shooting

City and county police are looking for help in identifying the suspect in a shooting incident at the corner of Beech and Beaver streets.

Police said officers were called just before 2 a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 19) for reports of shots being fired into a house in the 1700 block of Beech Street.

Several people were inside the house at the time of the shooting, and a woman inside the house was injured. Her name was not released by police.

Police said do not know who the target of the shooting was, or what the motive might have been. Anyone who was in the area and heard or saw anything suspicious is asked to call McKeesport Police at (412) 675-5016 or the Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit at (412) 473-1300.
