A McKeesport businessman was found shot to death last night near the 2900 block of Jenny Lind Street.

Allegheny County police said the victim, who was identified by friends as Brandon Barley, 60, was found in Pope Alley, parallel to Jenny Lind, and not far from the former George Washington school.

He had been shot at least once and was pronounced dead at the scene, Allegheny County police Lt. Andrew Schurman said.

Barley was the owner of Brandon Barley and Sons Plumbing on Locust Street, and also was well-known for raising and training dogs.

Witnesses described two males fleeing the scene in a dark sedan, Allegheny County police said. The car fled the scene from Fremont Street onto Jenny Lind Street.

Schurman said police have no motive in the shooting. An autopsy was pending Saturday morning.

Anyone who heard or saw anything suspicious in that area is asked to call McKeesport police at (412) 675-5016 or the Allegheny County police homicide unit at (412) 473-1300.
