The North Versailles Twp. Parks & Recreation Department has announced a full schedule of events for April:

North Versailles Twp. children can enjoy Art and Apple Juice for free at the North Versailles Community Center from 6 to 8 p.m. April 4. Groups will be sectioned into grades K-3 and 4-6. Students will be instructed by East Allegheny High School art students and teachers on how to paint an age-appropriate painting. Kids can paint pictures to take home while enjoying snacks and juice. Goodwill donations will be accepted for the EAHS Art Scholarship fund.

The North Versailles Twp. Parks & Recreation Department will hold an Easter Egg Hunt at Crestas Park, 2298 Milligan St., from 12 noon to 2 p.m. April 8. Kids will enjoy outdoor games and a magician show, while Bud Bunny will be available for a meet and greet. RSVP to nvtparksandrec@gmail.com or call (412) 823-6602 ext. 104 by April 5.

Touch a Truck at Mosites Motorsports, located at 1701 Lincoln Highway, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 15. Kids can see big trucks, fire trucks, police cars, dump trucks and more up close and have the opportunity to sit in the driver’s seat. This free community event is for all ages. All township residents are welcome to participate by bringing their own classic cars, modified vehicles, motorcycles or other specialized vehicles. The township police department will participate in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s 24th National Drug Take Back Initiative from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 22. This event is an opportunity for the public to safely dispose of potentially dangerous controlled substances and other pharmaceuticals at the North Versailles Twp. police department.

The North Versailles Public Library and the North Versailles Parks & Recreation Department will host a Night at the Races Fundraiser in the Community Room on April 28. Doors open at 6 p.m. and simulated racing begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15, available at the library, and will be sold at the door the night of the event. Food and beverages will be available and guests may bring their own alcoholic beverages. All guests must be 21 years of age or older to participate. A 50/50 drawing and a Chinese auction also will be held.
