White Oak Athletic Association

WOAA will host its first youth basketball tournaments starting April 17-19 and again from April 24-27. Softball and baseball are ongoing, and the association’s calendar has several fundraisers, cash bashes, and bingos listed well into May. Their calendar can be found online.

Easter Egg Hunt

For children ages 3-5, the borough will host an Easter Egg hunt on April 19 starting at 10 a.m. at Heritage Hill Park.

Spring cleaning

White Oak Borough’s Annual Spring Clean Up day is looking for volunteers. Those interested in helping should meet at the Heritage Hill Park Pavilion at 9:30 a.m. April 26. Clean up will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and volunteers are entitled to lunch and door prizes.

If you’re doing spring cleaning and looking to get rid of old computers, chemical cleaners, batteries, or that old console TV, there will be a hazardous and electronic waste collection from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 23 at 2280 Lincoln Way. Another disposal date will happen in August.

Craft show May 3, car show May 18

Want to help adoptable dogs and cats? On May 3, White Oak Safe Haven Animal Shelter will host its spring craft and vendor show. The event will be hosted by the White Oak Volunteer Fire Dept. No. 299, located at 1130 California Ave.

Crafts, food and raffle baskets benefit the animal shelter and the show runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Car enthusiasts will want to check out the Cars & Bikes in the Park event on May 18 hosted by Rainbow Volunteer Fire Company. This will take place at the Heritage Pool Complex on Victoria Drive. There will be trophies, raffles, food and drinks. Admission is $10; rain date is May 25.
