McKeesport and Allegheny County police are asking for the public's help in solving the murder of 21-year-old Jesi Jefferson.

Jefferson's body was discovered on the morning of Jan. 11 in the 1300 block of Hilty Alley by sanitation crews making their rounds, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple gunshot wounds.

Police were called to the area on the night of Jan. 10 for a report of "shots fired," but didn't locate any victims, and speculate Jefferson may have been shot at that time.

Anyone with information concerning is asked to call Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers at (412) 255-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 is offered for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of individuals wanted for featured crimes. Callers may remain anonymous.
