Two people are dead following a shooting this morning in Turtle Creek. Police believe it may have been a murder-suicide.

A spokesman for the Allegheny County police said Turtle Creek police and paramedics were dispatched to the Electric Heights Housing Association complex off of Harper Drive at 5:10 a.m. when a caller to 9-1-1 reported two people had been shot.

Emergency workers found a man and woman inside a residence in the 100 block of Watson Drive, suffering from gunshot wounds to the head, police said. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the victims as Sarah Villarreal, 34, and Daniel Connelly, 43.

Police found no signs of an intruder and think the male victim may have shot the female victim, and then himself.

The cause and manner of death have not been officially determined pending a complete investigation, county police said, as well as autopsies are being performed by the medical examiner’s office.
