Activities are at the main library, 1507 Library Ave., unless otherwise noted. For more information, call (412) 672-0625 or visit www.mckeesportlibrary.org.

Reading Social: The book for this month's activity is "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan" by Lisa See. Copies may be borrowed from the circulation desk. Readers will meet to discuss the book at 12 noon April 19 at Lifespan at the Olympia Shopping Center. Registration is not required; the activity is for people 18 and older.

Daytime Movies: The library screens recent movies on selected Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m. in the children's room. This month's movies are "Hidden Figures" (April 11) and "Lion" (April 25). Registration is not required, but visitors should bring a pillow to sit on.

Wise Walks: Wise Walks resume at 2:30 p.m. April 25 and continue Tuesdays through June 30 at Renziehausen Park in McKeesport. Walkers of all ages are welcome. Wise Walks are for people who want some movement and physical activity at their own pace. Walkers may bring friends or walk by themselves. All Wise Walks begin and end at the McKeesport Regional History and Heritage Center, 1832 Arboretum Drive. Registration can be done in advance or on the day of the walk.

Circles Meeting: Circles of Greater Pittsburgh meets from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays to help residents get more information about resources available to help with employment, education, mental health, childcare, health care, drug or alcohol addiction, feeding your family, paying utlity bills, finding transportation or coping with any kind of financial hardship. No appointment is necessary.

Joheba Fragrances: Joheba Fragrances says your nose is the "scent-er" of your face. Ten spaces are available in this free class where attendees can learn how to mix fragrances to make a perfume that's all their own. Space is limited. The workshop begins at 7 p.m. April 21 and registration in advance is required.

Earth Day Clean-Up: In celebration of Earth Day, the Carnegie Library of McKeesport will sponsor a neighborhood clean-up day beginning at 10 a.m. April 22. Volunteers are needed to help clean the library grounds and the surrounding streets. Participants should wear comfortable, warm clothing and safe shoes. No registration is necessary and all ages are welcome to participate.
