Tube City Community Media Inc. is seeking freelance writers to help cover city council, news and feature stories in McKeesport, Duquesne, White Oak and the neighboring communities. High school and college students seeking work experience are encouraged to apply; we are willing to work with students who need credit toward class assignments. The anti-violence group Take Action Mon Valley will meet every other Thursday at 6:30 p.m., beginning today (April 9), a spokeswoman said.
The group meets at Creative Ministries Berachah, 1422 Evans Ave. Meetings are for active members as for those who want to join or learn more about the group's work.
Upcoming meetings are scheduled on April 23 and May 7.
