McKeesport police are still seeking the public's help in identifying the man who robbed a Dravosburg convenience store.

McKeesport police Chief Bryan Washowich said the suspect entered the store on Richland Avenue just after 9 p.m. Oct. 22 and demanded money.

Although he did not display a weapon, Washowich said, the suspect did threaten the clerk. He was given cash and fled, on foot, toward Euclid Avenue, the chief said.

No vehicle was seen leaving the scene, Washowich said.

The suspect is described as a white male of undetermined age, Washowich said. Police are reviewing surveillance video of the crime.

It's unclear if the Dravosburg robbery is related to other area convenience store hold-ups, Washowich said, including a robbery at a store on Romine Avenue in Port Vue.

In addition, a convenience store just down the road from the one in Dravosburg --- on Buttermilk Hollow Road in West Mifflin, about 1.5 miles away  --- has now been held up twice in less than a month.

The West Mifflin store was held up on Oct. 9, and again on Tuesday night, according to West Mifflin police.

Anyone with information about the Dravosburg robbery is asked to call McKeesport police at (412) 675-5015 or the detective bureau at (412) 675-5016. Callers may remain anonymous.

In addition, Washowich said, tipsters may email the department at crimeprevention@mckpd.us.
