The Mon Yough Chorale will bring Christmas music to the area with two concerts in December.

A spokeswoman said the chorale will perform with the East Winds Symphonic Band at St. Angela Merici Church, 1698 Fawcett Ave., White Oak at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 10. A cookie reception will follow. Admission is free.

On Dec. 17, the chorale will perform again with an afternoon of song at Sampson's Mills Presbyterian Church, 1665 Lincoln Way, White Oak. Tickets are $7 and will be sold at the door. A cookie reception will follow.

The singing group was formerly known as the Mon Yough Community Singers and is the result of a 2001 merger between the McKeesport Choraliers, founded in 1962, and the White Oak Community Singers.

For more information, visit the group's website.
