Allegheny County police are investigating a city man's death as a homicide.

The body of Craig Rhodes-Mitchell, 24, was discovered at around 10 p.m. Jan. 27 inside a home in the 1300 block of Centennial Street, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office.

Initial reports were that Rhodes-Mitchell was found "unresponsive inside the home."

But on Friday, a county spokeswoman said Rhodes-Mitchell was suffering from gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The medical examiner's office has ruled the death a homicide. No other details were released.

Anyone with information regarding Rhodes-Mitchell's death is asked to contact the Allegheny County Police Tipline at 1-833-ALL-TIPS (1-833-255-8477).
