LifeSpan, a Homestead-based agency that serves seniors throughout the Mon Valley and South Hills, will hold a "Cashtoberfest" fundraiser Oct. 19 at Salvatore's in Baldwin.

The event begins at 5 p.m. and will include music, dancing, a dinner buffet, raffles, prize baskets, and a cash drawing every 15 minutes between 7 and 10 p.m. The 10 p.m. drawing will be valued at $2,000, a spokeswoman said, and ticket holders need not be present to win.

Attendees must be 21 or older and no outside alcohol may be brought into the facility, located at 5001 Curry Road. A cash bar will be available and dinner is included in the ticket price.

Tickets cost $25 and are available by calling (412) 464-1300, or by visiting any LifeSpan location, including Steel Valley Senior Community Center, 530 Miller Ave., Clairton, or the Mon Valley Resource Center at Olympia Shopping Center, 4313 Walnut St., Versailles.

LifeSpan also is holding a raffle to benefit its home-delivered meals program. Tickets are $10 and winners will receive $1,000 in scratch-off lottery tickets. The raffle winner will be based on the Pennsylvania Lottery's Oct. 31 drawing.

To purchase a ticket for the HDM raffle, visit any LifeSpan office or call (412) 464-1300.
