Village Broadcast Rolls On, With Hiccups

Day 1 of our broadcast of International Village rolled on schedule Monday, with a few minor glitches.
Every year, our problem is getting and holding onto a reliable Internet connection, which is not easy to do from a public park, especially with a $500 budget. We've tried to get major wireless and Internet providers to sponsor us, without success, so we have to pay for our own connection.
If you missed any of the broadcast --- or you were at International Village and want to see yourself on "TV," you can go to this page and look through yesterday's videos.
And be sure to listen to Braddock's WZUM (1550) between 4 and 8 p.m. for occasional updates from the Village.
I'd also be remiss if I didn't mention our sponsors:
- The Sunset Room, the region's number 1 choice for banquets and receptions;
- Smallies on the Yough, your local expert guides for fishing tours and more; and
- The Carriage Inn, offering catering and outstanding meals for the entire family
Additional support has been provided by generous donations from Karen Hammer, Andrea Luketic, Matthew Boyko, Annette James, Timothy Roolf, Robert Swartz, Jane Togyer and Jeffrey Tomovcsik.
