Tube City Community Media Inc. is seeking freelance writers to help cover city council, news and feature stories in McKeesport, Duquesne, White Oak and the neighboring communities. High school and college students seeking work experience are encouraged to apply; we are willing to work with students who need credit toward class assignments. The volunteers of the McKeesport Regional History and Heritage Center will be hosting a "Fall Fleatique" flea market fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 3 and 12 to 4 p.m. Oct. 4, a spokeswoman said.
They will also have an appraiser on hand Oct. 3rd from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visitors are invited to bring an antique item and have it appraised at a cost of $5 per item.
