Volunteers will hold a basket raffle and luncheon in Renziehausen Park on Sept. 22 to benefit a local pet rescue charity.
Proceeds benefit Paws Across Pittsburgh, a regional all-volunteer group which places pets in foster homes while they wait to be adopted.
More than 50 gift baskets as well as other door prizes will available during the event at Jacob Woll Pavilion, a spokeswoman said. The event begins at 11 a.m. and admission costs $10.
Door prizes also will be given away, the spokeswoman said.
The luncheon will feature a selection of soups, including Italian wedding, green pepper, chicken noodle, vegetarian tortellini and vegan vegetable soup, as well as a salad bar, desserts and soft drinks.
Basket drawings will begin at 2:15 p.m. and winners need not be present to win. Tickets will be available at the door.
