Carnegie Library of McKeesport will present an encore screening of “Missing McKeesport” at 2 p.m. Sunday (Sept. 22) in the children’s room, a spokeswoman said.

Written, directed and produced by Sam Zolten (above), the 92-minute film is the product of seven years of research into the lives of Jewish McKeesporters, exploring the city’s ethnic heritage, culture, rise and decline.

Zolten, who was born in McKeesport but now lives in Philadelphia, interviewed more than 150 past and present McKeesport area residents to collect their stories. The film debuted in 2017 and a DVD is for sale at the McKeesport Regional History & Heritage Center.

The library is located at 1507 Library Ave. The screening is free but is recommended for adults. Registration is requested. For more information, call (412) 672-0625 or visit www.mckeesportlibrary.org.
