State Rep. Ed Gainey will deliver the keynote address Oct. 5 when the McKeesport Unit of the NAACP holds its 59th annual Human Rights Dinner.

An NAACP spokeswoman said Gainey's topic will be, "Where Do We Go From Here?"

The dinner will be held at the Palisades Ballroom, 100 Fifth Ave. at Water Street, Downtown. A reception begins at 5 p.m. and the dinner and program start at 6 p.m.

A native of Pittsburgh's East Liberty neighborhood and a graduate of Penn State University, Gainey was first elected to the state House of Representatives in 2012. His district includes Pittsburgh's Homewood, East Liberty, East Hills and Lincoln-Lemington neighborhoods, as well as neighboring Wilkinsburg Borough.

He previously worked as a community development specialist.

Tickets are $40 and may be purchased by calling (412) 292-5852.
