Pastors Caleb and Christina Acosta will speak at the First Church of God, 157 N. Second St., West Newton, at 6 p.m. Oct. 26 and 10:30 a.m. Oct. 27, a spokesperson said.

The Acostas have a ministry to Spanish-speaking communities and have set up churches in many areas, and will talk about their work.

The church is currently raising money for its own mission trip to the Navajo Nation in New Mexico and Arizona in 2020.

Pastor Beth Dunlap and Assistant Pastor Susan McMichael led a group of volunteers to the Navajo Nation Church of God near Gamerco, N.M., and Saylee Church in Arizona in 2018 to hold a Bible school, and are making plans to return next year, the spokesperson said.

Conditions on the reservation are extremely rural and work groups have been helping to remodel houses for some of the residents there.

Donations for the trip are being accepted and may be sent to "Mission Trip 2020," care of First Church of God, 157 N. Second St., West Newton, PA 15089.
