Tube City Community Media Inc. is seeking freelance writers to help cover city council, news and feature stories in McKeesport, Duquesne, White Oak and the neighboring communities. High school and college students seeking work experience are encouraged to apply; we are willing to work with students who need credit toward class assignments. Shidle Lodge No. 601 of the Free & Accepted Masons will hold a spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 10 at First United Methodist Church, 310 Oak St., Irwin, a spokesman said.
Proceeds will benefit local food pantries.
Attendees can have "all you can eat" for $7, and takeout items will be available.
