Tube City Community Media Inc. is seeking freelance writers to help cover city council, news and feature stories in McKeesport, Duquesne, White Oak and the neighboring communities. High school and college students seeking work experience are encouraged to apply; we are willing to work with students who need credit toward class assignments. The McKeesport Area Ministerium will host an interfaith community Thanksgiving Service at 4:30 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 22) at Auberle, 1101 Hartman St., in the city.
The guest speaker will be Jason Chavis, a graduate of McKeesport Area High School and the University of Pittsburgh who currently serves as an account executive at Pittsburgh's WTAE-TV (4). Chavis is a board member and volunteer at a number of local community organizations.
A light meal will be served following the service, to be held in the main campus gym at Auberle.
