The West Newton Lions Club will hold a take-out only fish fry from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Good Friday, April 10.
A spokeswoman said the event will be cash-only and will be conducted at the Lions Field House, 511 Pittsburgh St.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, customers may call ahead at (724) 972-3779 and drive around to the back of the building to pickup their orders from their car windows.
Delivery in West Newton is also available.
The cost is $12 per dinner and customers have the choice of deep-fried Alaskan pollock on a bun or dish; breaded and baked Alaskan pollock on a bun or dish; or unbreaded, baked cod loin; and a choice of two sides.
The Lions Club also will be offering a special for $15 that includes a deep-fried fish sandwich, three fantail shrimp, three hush puppies and two sides; a six-piece fried shrimp dinner with two sides for $8; a fish sandwich only for $7; and a tuna salad sandwich only on white, wheat or rye bread for $4.50.
Sides include baked macaroni and cheese, haluski, cole slaw or broccoli salad. Either potato soup or broccoli soup also will be available by the cup, bowl, pint or quart, and a cup of soup may be substituted for one of the sides.
Pierogies, soft drinks and pie and cake also will be available.
The spokesperson said all food is being packaged separately and will be given to the customer in a bag.
