Allegheny County police are investigating a one-car crash in Dravosburg late Friday night that led to the death of a Clairton man.
Alex K.A. Brown Jr., 41, was pronounced dead at a hospital early Saturday morning, the Allegheny County medical examiner’s office said.
Emergency personnel said one person was ejected from the car, which rolled over.
County police Sgt. Todd Dolfi said Brown was a passenger in the car, which collided with an embankment in the 200 block of Washington Avenue (Route 837), near the underpass to Elizabeth Road.
The driver’s name has not been released. Both homicide detectives and the county police accident reconstruction unit are involved, police said.
Investigators do not believe that weather was a factor in the crash, Dolfi said. There was online speculation that a road-rage incident may have occured, but Dolfi said that is not accurate.
The crash remains under investigation and no further details are being released at this time, Dolfi said.
