McKeesport firefighter Jeff Tomovcsik recently captured this view of McKees Point Marina and the Jerome Avenue Bridge using a flying remote-control drone.
The photo was taken during recent warmer temperatures. With lows expected to dip below zero degrees on Saturday night, and daytime highs remaining below freezing at least through next week, the Youghiogheny River's surface will be showing a lot more ice soon.
Meteorologists for the National Weather Service in Moon Twp. issued a hazardous weather advisory for the Mon-Yough area on Friday morning and said dangerous wind chills will likely result in additional advisories over the weekend.
