We're All Getting Tired of 'Frozen'

Forecasters see no end in sight for the bitter cold temperatures that have gripped the Mon-Yough region --- and much of the Northeastern United States --- for much of February.

National Weather Service meteorologists in Moon Twp. say temperatures in our area aren't expected to get out of the teens until this weekend. Wednesday's high will be 18 with a low Wednesday night of 0 degrees.

Thursday is more of the same, with a chance of snow showers and a high of only 6 above zero, with a low that night of -7 degrees.

A fast-moving high pressure system will move eastward on Saturday and Sunday, forecasters say, bringing a chance of snow mixed with freezing rain, along with slightly warmer temperatures in the low 30s.

But more extremely cold, dry air will be behind that pressure system, meaning the start of next week is expected to be just as cold as the start of this week.
