Allegheny Intermediate Unit’s McKeesport Family Center will host a free COVID-19 vaccine clinic this Friday (Aug. 27) from 3 to 5 p.m., a spokeswoman said.
The vaccination is free and the clinic is open to all adults and children 12 years of age or older. Walk-ins are welcome. For more information or to make an appointment, call (412) 672-6970.
The family center is located in the Wander Building, 339 Fifth Ave. at Locust Street, Downtown.
The vaccination clinic is designed to help families get ready for new school year, the spokeswoman said.
Other upcoming events include an open house at the McKeesport Family Center from 12 noon to 6 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 26), and another one at the East Allegheny Family Center. 200 Westinghouse Ave., Wilmerding, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 31.
The open houses will explain AIU programs and services to interested parents, students and residents.
