Tube City Community Media Inc. is seeking freelance writers to help cover city council, news and feature stories in McKeesport, Duquesne, White Oak and the neighboring communities. High school and college students seeking work experience are encouraged to apply; we are willing to work with students who need credit toward class assignments. Rainbow Volunteer Fire Co. will host an oldies dance from 6 to 10 p.m. Oct. 30 at 2916 Jacks Run Rd., the borough announced via Facebook.
Dinner will be served from 6 to 7 p.m. Tickets include choice of Italian pulled beef, Italian meatballs, parsley potatoes, linguine salad, beer, pop, mixers, chips and pretzels.
Music will be provided by DJ Glenn Raymer of WKFB (770 AM/97.5 FM). Costumes are optional.
