McKeesport Regional History & Heritage Center will hold a “flea-tique” antique sale and flea market this Saturday and Sunday (May 28 and 29), a spokesperson said.

Hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and 12 noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the center, 1832 Arboretum Drive.

The sale is being organized by the center volunteers and proceeds benefit center activities. Items are being accepted for sale as well during regular business hours at the center, located in Renziehausen Park.

Acceptable items include housewares, small appliances, toys and games, sporting equipment and memorabilia. Clothing, large electronic devices (such as old TVs or computers) and books will not be accepted.

For more information, call (412) 678-1832.

In other heritage center news, the center has joined the Free Little Library movement by installing a book drop-off and pick-up area near the front entrance.

From informative and non-fiction books to fantasy novels and children’s books, the center’s hope is to provide a wide variety of reading materials for every person in our community.

The heritage center is holding its second-annual golf classic on June 27 at Butler’s Golf Course in Elizabeth Twp.

The classic is an 18-hole scramble tournament with an auction, dinner and entertainment. Registration begins at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. Prices include 18 holes of golf, cart rental, and lunch and dinner.

Price is $125 per golfer, $500 per foursome and $50 for a meal only. Deadline to register is June 15.

For more information or to register, visit the website.
