The McKeesport affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness will not meet in July, a spokeswoman said.

The group will resume meeting on August 3 at 6 p.m. at Penn State Greater Allegheny Room F122 in the Frable Building. The meeting is open to families and friends of loved ones living with mental illness.

Sara Levine Steinberg, Event and Technology Coordinator for NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania, will provide details for the annual NAMI Walk in October.

After virtual walks in 2020 and 2021 during the COVID shutdown, walkers are invited to participate in person  this year. Steinberg will also take questions about resources offered by NAMI Keystone.

NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.  We offer understanding and support unique to those who are affected by these conditions.

For more information about the McKeesport meeting call (412) 527-6600. For the NAMI Helpline call (412) 366-3788 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
