A woman accused of shooting to death an East McKeesport man bound his body with plastic and duct tape and left it in her Evans Avenue apartment for several days, Allegheny County detectives allege.

Lindsey S. Jackson, 37, of McKeesport is being held without bond in the Allegheny County Jail in connection with the murder of Donte Lee “Chiefy’” Glover, 36, whose body was discovered May 1.

Glover had been reported missing the previous day and had last been seen alive on April 27, according to police.

Detectives said that Glover’s cell phone was last used for an outgoing call on the morning of April 28. That same day, police said, a security camera captured video of Glover going into Jackson’s apartment at around 7:30 a.m.

He never emerged, although Jackson was recorded coming and going from the apartment on multiple occasions, police said.

Witnesses told investigators that Jackson and Glover had been dating and shared a car, but that the two argued frequently.

According to an affidavit filed in Allegheny County night court, on the night of April 28, Jackson attended a birthday party with some of Glover’s friends, but Glover was not present.

Police allege that Jackson and another person later moved Glover’s car from McKeesport to Wilkinsburg and abandoned it.

Detectives said that Glover’s sister and a friend visited the apartment on May 1 while searching for Glover. The affidavit states that Jackson let the visitors in, but then fled, jumping from a balcony and running down Evans Avenue.

Glover’s sister and her friend discovered his body in the living room, police said.

Detectives allege that Jackson and the other person had visited dollar stores in the area and purchased heavy-duty plastic sheeting, duct tape, bleach and cleaning supplies. Police said that clothes and personal items belonging to Glover were discovered in a trash bag outside the apartment.

Investigators also recovered a 9-mm handgun and a spent cartridge from inside the apartment, according to the affidavit.

Detectives questioned the second person, according to the affidavit, but court records indicate he has not been charged.

The Allegheny County medical examiner’s office ruled that Glover was killed by a gunshot wound to the head.

Jackson went into hiding following the discovery of Glover’s body, but surrendered to Allegheny County sheriff’s deputies on Tuesday and was taken into custody, Allegheny County police said.

Jackson is charged by Allegheny County police with homicide, tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse. She was arraigned Tuesday night and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 16 before Magisterial District Judge Kim Berkeley Clark.
