Local veterans of any branch of the armed forces are invited to a free job fair Aug. 13 in White Oak.
A spokesman for the American Legion said the event will be held from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at the Gen. Smedley Butler Post 701, 2813 Capital St.
The event is free for both attendees and for employers who are looking to fill vacant job postings. Employers who want to have a table at the event are asked to register no later than July 22 to ensure that they have a space, the spokesman said.
The post has free wi-fi and attendees will be provided with tables and chairs in order to setup. Light refreshments will also be served for all attendees.
For more information, contact Stefanie Doyle, department service officer for the American Legion, at (412) 395-6230 or email Stefanie.Doyle@va.gov.
