Tube City Community Media Inc. is seeking freelance writers to help cover city council, news and feature stories in McKeesport, Duquesne, White Oak and the neighboring communities. High school and college students seeking work experience are encouraged to apply; we are willing to work with students who need credit toward class assignments. A cornhole tournament will be held at Romine Field, Romine Avenue in Port Vue, on Aug. 13, a spokesman said. Registration begins at 10 a.m. There will be a disc jockey, a raffle and concessions.
Proceeds will benefit Cindy's Memorial Bark Park, a project to build a dog park area in Port Vue in honor of the late Cindy McGraw-Davic, a South Allegheny High School and Point Park University alumna who died in 2015.
