Tube City Community Media Inc. is seeking freelance writers to help cover city council, news and feature stories in McKeesport, Duquesne, White Oak and the neighboring communities. High school and college students seeking work experience are encouraged to apply; we are willing to work with students who need credit toward class assignments. Port Vue United Methodist Church is still accepting applications for its preschool for the 2016-17 school year, a spokeswoman said.
Classes begin Sept. 6 and are open to children ages 3 and 4. Registration costs $35 and is non-refundable, and children must have a valid immunization record and birth certificate.
