Tube City Community Media Inc. is seeking freelance writers to help cover city council, news and feature stories in McKeesport, Duquesne, White Oak and the neighboring communities. High school and college students seeking work experience are encouraged to apply; we are willing to work with students who need credit toward class assignments. The Friends of the Norwin Public Library will hold their annual “Buy the Bag” book sale this week at the library, 100 Caruthers Lane, Irwin, a spokesperson said.
Bags of used books will be sold for $5. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
