Woman Wounded, Shooter Takes Own Life
County police investigating possible attempted murder, suicide

A woman was hospitalized Thursday morning after being shot inside a home on Grandview Avenue, Allegheny County police said.
The suspected gunman then took his own life, police said.
The Allegheny County medical examiner’s office said Carlos Watts, 50, was pronounced dead just after 12 midnight inside the home in the 2300 block of Grandview.
In a press release, police said first-responders were called to the home at 12:30 a.m. and found the unidentified victim along with Watts, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
The woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition, police said.
County homicide detectives said they believe Watts shot the woman, and then shot himself.
