The region's "fascinating women" will be the topic of a special Women's History Month program at the McKeesport Regional History & Heritage Center.

"Fascinating McKeesport Women" will highlight the work of women who left their mark on the community in a variety of fields, including journalism, aviation and philanthropy, as well as those who influenced social and political movements or broke barriers.

The program will be presented at 2 p.m. March 24 by local historian Ellen Vasey Show, a spokeswoman said.

To be held at the Heritage Center, 1832 Arboretum Drive in Renziehausen Park, the program is free for members and $2 for non-members.

For more information, call (412) 678-1832, visit the center's website or email mckheritage@yahoo.com.
