Tube City Community Media Inc. is seeking freelance writers to help cover city council, news and feature stories in McKeesport, Duquesne, White Oak and the neighboring communities. High school and college students seeking work experience are encouraged to apply; we are willing to work with students who need credit toward class assignments. Port Vue will host a self-defense class for females age 18 and older. The class is open to borough residents only and will be held at the Port Vue police department, 1194 Romine Ave.
The class is at 6 p.m. June 22. Registration in advance is required. Call (412) 664-9323 for information.
