A 22-year-old Pittsburgh man currently on probation after pleading guilty to drug charges is wanted in connection with a fatal shooting on McKeesport's Maple Street.
Derrick Means (above) is considered armed and dangerous, McKeesport police said Wednesday, and Allegheny County police have obtained a warrant for his arrest.
Means is wanted in connection with the death of Ronald Means, 29, of Pittsburgh's West End. McKeesport police responding to a 9-1-1 call reporting shots fired just after 9 p.m. Monday found Carter lying on the sidewalk in the 1300 block of Maple St. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Means is described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, with his hair in dreadlocks. McKeesport police said he was last seen driving a dark colored Dodge Magnum with Pennsylvania license plate number KDE-1979. The vehicle also has an "Uber" sticker in the front windshield, police said.

Two people were found dead inside an Evans Avenue house after their 7-year-old daughter told school officials she was unable to wake her parents.
The girl and her three siblings --- ages 9 months, 3, and 5 --- are now in the custody of Allegheny County Children, Youth and Family Services, Allegheny County police Lt. Andrew Schurman said.
McKeesport police and MARS paramedics responded to the home at 917 Evans at 5 p.m. Monday after the girl told a school employee that she had been unable to wake her parents that day.
Police entered the home and found Christopher Dilly, 26, and Jessica Lally, 25, inside. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
There was no evidence of foul play, Schurman said, but there evidence of drug use in the home.

A West Mifflin man is in Allegheny County Jail after being arrested for what police described as "multiple sex offenses against children."
Andrew Demeri, 24, formerly of Pitcairn, is charged by Allegheny County Police with two counts each of rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, unlawful contact with minors, indecent assault, endangering the welfare of children, corruption of minors and indecent exposure.
Demeri was arraigned Tuesday, according to court records. He is being held in lieu of $100,000 cash bond pending a preliminary hearing at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 28 before Allegheny County Judge Jeffrey Manning.

A home health care aide is in jail, pending a preliminary hearing, after being charged with stealing jewelry valued at thousands of dollars from an elderly Dravosburg woman of whom she was taking care.
Tamika Hill, 31, of Monroeville was arrested Tuesday by McKeesport police on charges of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and dealing in the proceeds of illegal activity.
Police said the total value of the missing items is nearly $36,000.
Court records indicate that Hill is being held in the Allegheny County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bond pending a preliminary hearing at 9 a.m. Thursday before Magisterial District Judge Richard D. Olasz Jr. in Dravosburg.

Friends and colleagues of a Duquesne police officer who died in a motorcycle crash Saturday night in Dravosburg are setting up a memorial fund for his son.
Duquesne police Officer Robert Gogo Jr., 40, was pronounced dead at the emergency room of UPMC McKeesport hospital about an hour after the crash, said a spokeswoman for the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office.
Allegheny County police said Gogo was off-duty and was traveling south on Richland Avenue on his motorcycle, toward the Mansfield Bridge, when the bike collided with a car headed northbound, toward Dravosburg Hill.

A Turtle Creek man has been charged by McKeesport police in connection with a four car accident last week in the city's East End that injured him as well as four other people.
Henry J. Robinson Jr., 63, faces a preliminary hearing Oct. 17 before Magisterial District Judge Eugene Riazzi Jr. on charges of causing an accident involving personal injury and driving with a suspended license.
McKeesport police said officers were dispatched on Aug. 24 during the afternoon rush hour for a report of a multiple vehicle accident on East Fifth Avenue at Hartman Street.

A McKeesport man was killed early Saturday morning in a crash on the Westinghouse Bridge, Allegheny County police said.
Olin Simpson, 44, was driving a vehicle that collided with another car just before 3:30 a.m., police said. Simpson was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and passenger of the other car were taken to local hospitals. Their names and conditions were not released.
Route 30 was closed for several hours between Center Street and Clyde Avenue during the investigation, but reopened just after 7 a.m., police said. County and East Pittsburgh police are investigating.
The Allegheny County medical examiner's office said Simpson died of multiple traumatic injuries.

Police are looking for two men who forced their way into a house in Port Vue and robbed an unidentified victim of jewelry and other valuables.
Port Vue police said the robbery happened early Monday morning --- just after midnight --- at a home in the 1300 block of Coronado Drive, not far from Sacred Heart Cemetery. The victim was not injured, borough police said.
Allegheny County police detectives are assisting Port Vue police with the investigation. A county police spokeswoman said the robbers, described as two white males, forced open a door while the victim was asleep in bed. The robbers then went into the bedroom and threatened the victim with harm, police said.
No further description was released by police.
