Ready or not, the holidays are almost upon us. And McKeesport's salute to Santa parade begins at 11 a.m. this Saturday (Nov. 14) on Fifth Avenue between the Palisades and City Hall.

If you can't make it to the parade, our Internet radio station, WMCK.FM, will be on the scene, with both video and audio coverage live, beginning at 10:30 a.m.

More than 60 marching bands, drill teams and floats are scheduled to be there, including McKeesport Area High School's Tiger Band and the Serra Catholic High School band.

Antique cars, community groups and local mascots, including the Steelers' "Steely McBeam" also will be there.

The grand marshal of this year's parade is McKeesport deputy fire chief Vince Wassel, who is battling cancer.

If you can't make it to the parade, our Internet radio station, WMCK.FM, will be there, with both video and audio coverage beginning at 10:30 a.m.
